MATRICOL®
MATRICOL® is suitable for application by a trained esthetician in a cosmetics institute (professional use) and by the consumer (home use). Different shapes of pads make the application even easier.
MATRICOL® is activated directly on the skin by adding liquid allowing the collagen to form a hydrating film, and the release of collagen fragments to moisturize. Variants of MATRICOL® are available that have active ingredients embedded in the biomatrix and these are releases upon activation. You can read about the application in detail in the following links:
Home use - the application at a glance
1. Thoroughly cleanse the area of skin to be treated.
2. Carefully remove the eye pad from its packaging and moisten it on a tray (B). Thermal water or a water-based active ingredient solution, which is enriched with further active ingredients (e.g. glycerin) can be used.
3. Place the moistened eye pad under the eye so that dark circles and laugh lines are completely covered (C). Please avoid the formation of air bubbles so that MATRICOL® is applied like a second transparent skin.
4. Allow MATRICOL® to take effect for 20 minutes.
5. Remove the pads from the skin and apply an appropriate day care cream.
In addition to the eye pads, there are mask pads available in shapes specifically designed for treating the face, lips or décolleté. We will be happy to provide you with further details.
Professional use - the application at a glance
1. Cleanse the skin thoroughly. Fold MATRICOL® (A4 format) lengthwise and place on the face.
2. Lightly mark the areas for mouth, nose and temples with the fingernails (A). Cut out the marked points with scissors (B). Keep the cutouts for later treatment of the nose.
3. Fill the pipette with approximately 50 ml of active ingredient solution or thermal water.
4. Place the cutout mask on the face and moisten well with the help of the pipette (C). Start at the nostrils and work from the middle of the face to the sides (D). Subsequently apply the separate nose portion and moisten. The mask is sufficiently moistened when there are no air bubbles and MATRICOL® is positioned like a second skin.
Tip: You can apply drenched cotton wool pads to ensure the skin contact of the mask around the eyes (E).
6. Allow MATRICOL® to take effect for approximately 20 minutes. The cosmetic active ingredients are now released and penetrate the skin.
7. Roll up the mask from the chin to the hairline (F).
8. Then apply subsequent post-care tailored to the skin's condition.
